A BIM model of a transmission tower, from a laser scan.

This is a drone laser scan of a lattice steel transmission tower, about 42 m tall, with the conductors and earth wires that run through it. Drawn over it is the model Landex built from the scan.

Legs, bracing, crossarms, insulator strings, clamps and fittings, conductors, jumpers, earth wires, the aviation marker and the foundations, each measured, placed and classified. Every steel angle carries its own section size and orientation. Every element also records how much of it the scanner actually saw, and the wires stop where the scan stops. Hover or tap an element to read it.
